APS Labware was formed as a result of a joint venture between Australian Gold Refineries (AGR Matthey) and Automated Fusion Technology Pty Ltd which has given the company an excellent platform from which to expand its technology and activities into the future.

In 2007 APS Labware became part of XRF Scientific Ltd (ASX:XRF) a publicly listed company comprising of 6 wholly owned subsidiaries that manufacture associated products. In addition to the platinumware provided by APS Labware, the product portfolio includes gas and electric XRF sample preparation machines, furnaces and lithium borate flux. The cross selling possibilities significantly increase the reach of the group as a whole.
